Level Two Award The CIEH Level 2 Award in Food Safety has been designed to address the food safety needs of the catering sector and has replaced the CIEH Foundation Certificate in Food Hygiene. It is aimed at those in the workplace who participate in activities related to the subject area. Examples are shop floor employees, front line staff and employees in food production. Outline Programme The training programme covers the following topics: · Legislation · Food safety hazards · Temperature control · Refrigeration, chilling and cold holding · Cooking, hot holding and reheating · Food handling · Principles of safe food storage · Cleaning · Food premises and equipment Qualification information Designed for anyone working in a catering setting where food is prepared, cooked and handled. Full day course at a training suite near you (Per candidate) £45 Full day course in the workplace (up to 12 candidates) £450 (Further Candidates £25 each) |

Level One Award The new CIEH Level 1 award in food safety is run as a half-day course, aimed at those new to the workplace who require a simple overview of a subject, before starting work or as part of an induction programme. Suitable for a variety of candidates, including new employees with minimal or no prior food safety knowledge, employees handling low-risk or wrapped food or those who work front of house, such as waiting or check out staff, as well as back of house such as kitchen porters, warehouse staff, school leavers taking their first job or migrant workers with limited language skills. Outline Programme The programme covers the following topics: · Food Safety (food hygiene, hazards & responsibilities) · Personal Hygiene · Cleaning · Contamination Qualification information The Level 1 awards are sector specific and the training programme has been developed to allow courses to be tailored to meet the needs of staff working in cateringHalf day course at a training suite near you (Per candidate) £40 Half day course in the workplace (up to 12 candidates) £400 (Further Candidates £25 each) |
